ABOUT

Positive Mathematics for Indigenous Students

The conference aims to bring together a community of mathematics teachers across all sectors to help "Close the Gap".

​

The Friday conference will include:

  • Keynote speakers: Professor Robyn Jorgensen; Emeritus Professor Philip Clarkson.

  • Presentations: Differentiating with technology; STEM; language and mathematics .

  • Workshops: Hands on application of Australian Curriculum content.

​

The Thursday evening includes:

  • Networking dinner.

  • Cultural event.

​

The intention is to nurture improvement for the long term to support:

  • Increased school attendance rates.

  • Achieve literacy and numeracy targets.

  • Increase high school completion rates.

  • Increased employment rates and retention.

​
